you're newly engaged, or your wedding is right around the corner, or
you're just browsing and daydreaming about what you would do for you
big day. Choosing a hairstyle that works for you is crucial to
completing your wedding day look.
The most important factor to consider is your hair color and type! When researching, look for hairstyles that are similar in color to your hair.
My fellow brunettes, I'm talking to you. If you intend on staying a brunette on your wedding day, try not to bring pictures of hairstyles with bleach blonde hair. Or if you have one all-over color, avoid styles that have highlights. You want to have a realistic image of what the final product will be. If you give your stylist a photo of Jessica Alba with medium brown hair and honey highlights all over and you have jet black hair, the end result will not be the same and you may feel disappointed.
I personally prefer hairstyles with highlights and lowlights because you can see the depth and definition of the hairstyle. You can admire the curl and design. Not to mention it photographs beautifully! However, if you're like most of my clients that prefer to stay as natural as possible, here, you can see some realistic dark hairstyles that I think work universally and still have great shape.
Another important factor to consider is how you want the front styled. If you like the bangs pulled away and tousled out of your face, swoop bang, parted down the middle or side or curled - try a few styles at home and see what you like on yourself.
I hope this helps you make an informed choice in finding the best hairstyle that works for you on your big day!
